Curtain Poles

Welcome to the Northdowns Ironcraft website where we showcase our stunning collection of hand made wrought iron curtain poles and accessories.

We are a family run business of decorative ironworkers and blacksmiths. Everything we sell we make by hand in our workshop in Kent, in the South East of England.

Our curtain poles are available to buy online as ready to fit Curtain Pole Packs, containing everything you need to prepare a standard window for your chosen curtains. Now also available to buy as individual items to make up a Custom Pole order tailored to your needs.

Bay windows do not come in standard sizes, so finding good steel bay curtain poles off-the-peg can be difficult: they tend to be either bend-to-fit with ugly slotted sections, or have clunky articulated elbow joints. Our bespoke bay poles are handmade with curves and bends to fit your particular bay.

We show you how to measure your bay so you can send us the required dimensions. We then provide a quote and send you a diagram showing exactly how your pole will fit your bay. The pole and all the necessary accessories are then made and sent ready for you to fit.

To get an estimate of cost we have provided a Bay Pole price calculator requiring only very basic measurements. To get a more accurate no obligation quote, you will need to submit your measurements via the relevant online form.

As a guide, an average 3m/10ft long two bend bay pole with Ball & Collar decorative finial ends, all necessary brackets, fixings and curtain rings rings will cost around £180 delivered.
